Directors
John P.Jackson, Ph.D.
The director and founder of
TSC, John P. Jackson, was the leader of the 1978, thirty-person
plus, high tech scientific American expedition that examined the
Shroud first hand. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from the United
States Naval Postgraduate School in 1972 and a B.A. in Religious
Studies from the College of Santa Fe in 1976. He has held faculty
professor positions at both the U.S. Air Force Academy and the
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He was a scientist
at the Air Force Weapons Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico
and a senior scientist at Kaman Sciences... as well as a part-time
honorarium professor at the University of Colorado. He has published
over 78 papers, 21 of which concern the Shroud of Turin. He has
delivered presentations on the Shroud at major international conferences
including those in Turin, Paris, New York City, St. Louis, Rome,
Oviedo(Spain), San Marino, Nice, The Turin World Congress, and
the International Richmond Symposium. He has has given numerous
television, radio, and newspaper interviews around the world.
Rebecca S. Jackson, MBA
The associate director of Turin Shroud Center of Colorado was born in New York City of Orthodox Jewish parentage. She holds a B.A. in Germanic Languages and Literatures from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with an MBA in Global Management. She has given presentations on the
Jewish aspects of the Shroud at
leading international symposiums including Rome, Oviedo (Spain),
San Marino, Nice, The Turin World Congress, and the International
Richmond Symposium. She has published extensively on the subject,
including two papers on the Jewish elements of the Shroud in the
Spanish Scriptural journal, Biblia y Fe. She
has thirty-seven years of research into Jewish historical
migrations and the
Semitic, African, and Egyptian
influences on the Jewish people. She is also a co-author with
her husband, John Jackson, of
A Lady of Light Appears
in Egypt: the story of Zeitoun.
In 2000, Rebecca presented
her work on the Shroud in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia as
well as at the Eucharistic Congress, Il Volto Dei Volti in Rome.
